Through the enthusiastic character of the school authorities to fulfill the nation’s obligations in sport, the management decided to see sport not only as an extra-curricular activity but as an intellectual convert into a healthy lifestyle as well as a career building activity for learners. The introduction of a top-notch and qualified trainer this year to add more into the pump as pedigree that already exist in this area, stands as a testimony to a meaningful determination in developing students and staff from a paltry notion or conception of this activity to an aesthetical phenomenon. In the district chess and table tennis tournament held in Botha Bothe Community High School this year where the school thrashed its opponents in what was termed a release of potentialities never seen in the district. Soofia English Medium School was crowned champions and will be representing the district at the national level. Mohapi Matela (E1) emerged Player of the tournament for chess and Mpiko Thobileng of the same class was the District Table Tennis Champion.
