The Lesotho National Olympics Committee (LNOC) in conjunction with Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) jointly conducted the Maseru 2023 youth games over the Independence holidays.
Three Soofia International School student athletes took part in this four day tournament from the 3rd to 6th October. The boys did not disappoint as Motlatla Nthane; came back with a gold medal in shot put, while Nthunya Leakofa earned a silver medal in high jump. Siyeza Ndimande also participated and all made Soofia and Botha-Bothe as a district immensely proud.
It is imperative to highlight that extra-curricular activities are significant in progression of the academic lives of our learners, as this puts them in stages they would not have gotten to by wishful thinking alone. When one is capable, it is only fair that they are afforded all opportunities that arise.
