Preserving Our Heritage: The Impact of Climate Change on Basotho Culture
This Saturday, Soofia International School and GEM Institute hosted an event highlighting the profound impact of climate change on culture. From tree planting to lively debates, insightful presentations, and traditional Basotho performances like Liphotha, the day was a celebration of our heritage and a reminder of its vulnerability. We showcased Basotho equipment now lost to climate shifts, tasted authentic Basotho cuisine, and enjoyed the soulful sounds of instruments like the sekhankula. Let’s honor and protect our cultural roots by taking action against climate change!
