Soofia International School IGCSE Geography class took a trip to Port Elizabeth. The educational tour included but was not limited to VW manufacturing plant, urban zones, marine processes and coastal investigation.
The learners were able to demonstrate understanding on social and economic being of different races. The geography trip enabled learners to link classroom experience with the real world enabling them to apply the acquired knowledge in the real life situation.
“Learning outside the classroom is important for all young people, if they are to connect with their local place, find a relevance for the classroom-based learning and develop meaningful understanding of what the environment really means” Turney, Andrew 2009
The school appreciates the support extended by the parents in making the trip a success.
