On Friday the 26th April 2018, Lesotho High School (LHS) Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS) students visited Soofia International School (SIS) AS students. The purpose of the visit was to foster a lasting relationship and sharing of knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students studying AS and A levels from both schools.
The days activities included an open debate organised by the language departments from both schools. Mrs Sekobi from LHS and Mr Mafuku from SIS were the coaches.
The motion tabled was “This house believes that technology has outstripped morality” .
The students formed a mixed team such that both the opposing team and the proposing team comprised of three students with representatives from both schools. After their debate, the motion was opened to the audience to participate, it was very educational, highly informative and obviously interesting.
The afternoon session took place in the science lab where the students carried out a titration experiment for qualitative and volumetric analysis which is a requirement for their practical examinations in chemistry.
