The best way to learn is through hands-on experience, some concepts do not just come fully explained in theory, but through an experiment. It may seem an easy task to learn from a book or a lecture, but it is necessary to let students figure things out so the topic sticks, and they never forget. An engaged learner has to utilize all their senses in order to grasp. There is a difference between information and knowledge.
