Our Sooofia Geography class had an incredible visit to Nelson Mandela University! The day was packed with exciting presentations on various careers in Geography – it opened our eyes to the amazing opportunities in the field of Geography. From GIS specialists and environmental consultants to geologists, the possibilities are endless!
The hands-on activities were a hit! Students explored different rock structures and properties, including glowing rocks that emit a beautiful light under UV and examining rocks under the microscope to learn about their mineral composition and formation processes.
