Soofia held a commemoration where the cricket champions were decorated with gold medals that they earned during a two-weekend cricket tournament.
This comes after Soofia International hosted a very successful cricket under 13 T20 challenge. It was a 3-day tournament that started on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of April. The semi-finals and the finals were held on the 22nd of April.
The schools that participated were Makong Primary, Mopeli Primary, Likileng International, Caledon English Medium, St. Paul’s, and Soofia International School. The teams that proceeded to the semi-finals were Soofia, Mopeli, Caledon, and Likileng.
Soofia came first and clinched the trophy after defeating Likileng in the semi-finals and Caledon in a very nail-biting final. The under-13 girls had their final too the Sunday of the same weekend and 6 were selected to represent Butha- Buthe District too. Their names are Boitumelo Tlali, Poelano Mahatle, Liteboho Majoro, Limpho Sebetoane and Karabo Mosothoane.
