Cambridge Assessment International Education results for Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and A-Level were released on the 10th January 2019. This early result release allows learners to submit their results in time for admission into South African Universities and elsewhere around the world.

Soofia International School had 38 learners presented for this challenging, globally recognized examination, 3 of them sat for A-Level examinations, 34 sat for AS level examinations, one learner sat for A-Level examination was a private candidate. It was the first time we had learners appearing for A Level examinations and the fifth time they appeared for AS level examinations.

This batch of learners achieved the best results so far since Soofia started taking the AS level programme in 2014 and receiving debut results in January 2015. Some learners achieved the distinctions, while some attained high grades in individual subjects.

Two learners in particular, who also have achieved a distinction, showed extreme academic excellence by getting more A grades than anyone else. Refiloe Leanya got grade A in all except for one B at A-Level. Matlala Sefale was awarded all A grades in all the five syllabuses she sat for, which equals the best grade anywhere in the world for candidates who sat for AS Llevel.

Some of these learners will go on to study A level while some will join various Universities in South Africa in programmes like Engineering, Medicine, Data Science and Computer Engineering.

While our focus now switches to improving our results in the coming years, we wish to congratulate these learners for the efforts they put and we wish them success in their next academic discoveries. We also believe and hope they will continue keeping up the good moral values that they displayed while at Soofia.

We thank all the teachers, parents and everyone who supported the learners throughout their tough journey of learning in 2018.
